Youth Winter Wrestling (Phase 1)
Our youth program is built for athletes in 1st-8th grade who want to build a strong foundation in wrestling, while having FUN and developing CONFIDENCE and COURAGE, on and off the mat.
This program is split into 2 phases (each phase is purchased separately):
Phase 1: November 13th - December 18th
Mondays & Thursdays 6:30-8pm
10 Practices
No practice on Thanksgiving day
Phase 2: January 8th - February 12th
Mondays & Thursdays 6:30-8pm
11 Practices
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! This program is meant for beginner AND intermediate wrestlers. Members will have the option to participate just recreationally, or to compete in competitions. We plan to join the RMYWL (Richmond Metro Youth Wrestling League) for their upcoming 2026 season.
Our practice structure emphasizes:
Fundamentals First - Stance & motion, basic takedowns, escapes, and pins
Fun Drills & Games - Encourages engagement to learn and reinforce vital wrestling skills
Character Development - Integrity, respect, discipline, and trust
What’s included:
Iron Forge Wrestling Club T-shirt
Professional coaching and age-appropriately structured practices
Access to our dedicated wrestling facility
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
LIMITED FOLKSTYLE USA WRESTLING MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
You can still register without an active USAW membership. USAW membership status will be verified at first workout.
