IRON FORGE WRESTLING.
richmond,va wrestling club.
As a new club to the area, Iron Forge Wrestling Club is proud to serve the Central Virginia region. Iron Forge will become a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization. Our club is dedicated to wrestlers of all skill levels, providing a supportive environment to grow and develop both on and off the mat. We believe in the power of hard work, consistency, and perseverance to encourage athletes to achieve their goals.
At Iron Forge, we value the journey over “winning at all costs”. This mindset fosters a positive, challenging, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. We WILL strengthen the wrestling community, in the local and surrounding area, inspire a love for the sport, and empower athletes to reach their fullest potential in competition and life.

MEET THE COACHES
CHIP STUREK
Coach Chip started wrestling in West Virginia and has been involved with the sport for 20+ years. He knows firsthand how much the sport can shape a person. During high school, he finished with a career record of 149-17, was a 3x Region Champion, a 2015 Virginia 4A State Runner-Up, and became the first-ever wrestling state champion for Glen Allen High School in 2016. After high school, he went on to the Virginia Military Institute, where he wrestled in his freshman year before transitioning to being a full time rugby player for VMI and graduating in 2020. At Iron Forge Wrestling Club, Chip’s mission is to help athletes develop both on and off the mat—becoming not just better wrestlers, but stronger, more confident individuals and leaders.
CHRIS DIAZ
Coach Diaz brings both experience and purpose to his role as assistant coach. A former 2014 Virginia 4A State Placer and a 2015 Region Finalist, Chris knows what it takes to compete, and succeed, at a high level. With over a decade of weightlifting experience, he combines his passion for strength training with his love for wrestling to help athletes unlock their full potential. His coaching philosophy focuses on integrating wrestling with structured strength training and athletic performance, with a strong emphasis on fitness, long-term health, and injury prevention. Chris believes that evidence based strength work enhances wrestling technique, boosts endurance, and sharpens competitiveness. His goal is to help athletes build a strong physical foundation and grow into well-rounded, resilient individuals, both on and off the mat.
TRIPP BAILEY
Coach Tripp is a passionate and dedicated leader who brings both heart and experience to the mat. A proud Glen Allen High School graduate, Tripp was a four-year varsity wrestler and served as a Senior Captain for the Jaguar wrestling team before graduating in 2022. His love for the sport didn’t stop after high school, he’s continued that passion by stepping into a coaching role, where he’s committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the mat. Known for his approachable, encouraging style, Tripp is always willing to work with anyone, whether they’re chasing wrestling goals or striving for personal growth. With Coach Tripp, wrestlers gain more than just skills, they gain a mentor who truly cares.
NICK PARRISH
Coach Parrish has been the Head Wrestling Coach at Glen Allen High School since 2017, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the sport and a deep commitment to growing the wrestling community. As a former standout wrestler himself, Nick earned over 100 career high school wins, was a 2015 Region Finalist, and placed 3rd at the 2015 Virginia 4A State Championships. Now, he channels that same competitive spirit into his coaching, developing not just skilled athletes, but strong, disciplined individuals. He’s known for creating a positive, high-expectation environment where wrestlers are challenged, supported, and inspired to grow. His mission is to elevate the sport at every level and shape the next generation of wrestlers.

First and foremost, both options allow wrestlers to train together in the same sessions. The Season Package is ideal for wrestlers who plan to attend workouts regularly throughout the entire season. On the other hand, the Monthly Package is better suited for those who are interested in exploring what Iron Forge Wrestling has to offer but aren’t ready to commit to the full season just yet.

We require an Iron Forge liability waiver to be completed before anyone can begin training.
This will be completed on hard copy until a digital version is developed, which will become part of the registration process.
