Our youth program is designed for athletes in 1st-8th grade who want to build a strong foundation in wrestling, while having FUN and developing CONFIDENCE and COURAGE, on and off the mat.
Our youth program gets split into 2 phases. Phase 1 ended on December 18th. This registration is for phase 2.
Phase 2: January 8th - February 26th
Mondays & Thursdays 6:30-8pm

There will be NO practice on February 19th
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! This program is meant for beginner AND intermediate wrestlers. Members will have the option to participate just recreationally, or to compete in competitions. One of our goals for phase 2 is for our wrestlers to compete in at least 1 local tournament and a VAWA (Virginia Wrestling Association) state tournament qualifier. Those who qualify for the VAWA state tournament will have the option to wrestle in that event on February 28th & March 1st.
Our practice structure emphasizes:
Fundamentals First - Stance & motion, basic takedowns, escapes, and pins
Fun Drills & Games - Encourages engagement to learn and reinforce vital wrestling skills
Character Development - Integrity, respect, discipline, and trust

Iron Forge Wrestling Club T-shirt
Those who received a shirt in phase 1 will NOT receive another shirt in phase 2
Professional coaching and age-appropriately structured practices
Access to our dedicated wrestling facility
LIMITED FOLKSTYLE USA WRESTLING MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
You can still register without an active USAW membership. USAW membership status will be verified at first workout.
